Rangers' goalscorers Jay Simpson and Kaspars Gorkšs have made the Championship Team of the Week.

Simpson opened the scoring by latching onto a classy through ball from Adel Taarabt to slam home a left-footed shot in the opening stages.

Gorkšs, who had defended stoutly throughout, popped up with the winner with just under ten minutes remaining, slamming home a corner from substitute Alejandro Faurlín.

The team in full was as follows:

Julian Speroni (Crystal Palace)
Danny Simpson (Newcastle United)
Ian Evatt (Blackpool)
Kaspars Gorkšs (Queens Park Rangers)
Lloyd Doyley (Watford)
Tom Cleverley (Watford)
Darren Pratley (Swansea City)
Gonzalo Jara (West Bromwich Albion)
Darren Ambrose (Crystal Palace)
Rob Hulse (Derby County)
Jay Simpson (Queens Park Rangers)

A big congratulations to the R's duo from all at Vital QPR.
