Clingan To Return?

Influential Coventry City midfielder Sammy Clingan could be in line to return for the Sky Blues this weekend.

Coventry travel to Loftus Road off the back of a seven game winless streak, owing much to the absence of Northern Ireland international Sammy Clingan.

The former Nottingham Forest and Norwich City man was in fine early season form before breaking a metatarsal in the derby game against Leicester City.

He told the BBC: The match against QPR at Loftus Road next week could be a realistic target.

'It's not been easy having to be in the gym and sitting in the stand, especially considering they've had a couple of bad results because I just want to get out there and help my teammates.

'And I could also worsen the damage so I have to be patient.'

The midfielder who signed from the Canaries for £650,000 in the summer has proven himself a set-piece specialist, and his dead ball arts have certainly been missed in the Sky Blues set-up.

Coventry currently sit 18th, three points off Plymouth Argyle and the Championship drop zone. They will be looking to continue a good recent record at Loftus Road.
