Coleman's Praise For QPR

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman was delighted with his side's point against QPR.

Queens Park Rangers were held at home by Coventry City as Leon Best opened the scoring, before Rangers took the advantage with goals from Jay Simpson and Ákos Buzsáky.

Richard Wood netted an equaliser in the final ten minutes before the Sky Blues went down to ten men as Stephen Wright lost his cool for the second time in two seasons.

Nevertheless the Coventry boss was delighted in speaking to ccfc.co.uk, believing that Rangers put on an excellent performance in spells.

'For 20 minutes or so in the second half QPR put on the best performance I have seen from a side in this division," said Coleman.

"We could not get near them and at times were hanging on.

'They were excellent but we came back. They did have chances but their second goal was a deflection and when you are on a run like ours, that can happen.

'I think this is a great point for us. All teams will come here and will struggle. They are a strong squad and we have been on a drastic run, but hopefully that will give us a platform.'

Coventry now have the crunch clash away to Scunthorpe United to look forward to. A game that must already be viewed as a six-pointer sees the Sky Blues looking for their first win in nine games.
