Man of the Match

Queens Park Rangers supporters have surprisingly voted Fitz Hall as Man of the Match against Coventry City.

Rangers were held to a 2-2 draw against the Sky Blues at Loftus Road despite dominating vast periods of the game.

Jay Simpson and Ákos Buzsáky helped cancel out an early Leon Best header, before Richard Wood stooped to head home a late equaliser.

Hall partnered Matt Connolly at the centre of defence, and while the partnership faltered at times, there were positives to be taken from his individual performance, if not the defensive unit at large.

It seemed from the comments made on the forum that Faurlín would have been the overwhelming choice - even stranger then to see Hall run away with the vote.

The top three were as follows in descending order:

1. Fitz Hall - 65%
2. Alejandro Faurlín - 22%
3. Radek Černý - 4%

ImSitiv: 'Faurlin. Just look at him looking up to assess the options before he contacts with the ball, and the creativity he attempts. Ok, some of the passes may be adrift, but he's thinking and creating each time he has the ball.'

danielqpr: 'I think Faurlin has to have it. He played an exquisite ball to Simpson for his goal. His passing was immaculate (apart from one reckless pass) and he's getting better with each game.'

LeeCookFan: 'Faurlin for us - that's why we paid Ł3.5m for him. Loving him and Watson together - Rowlands' injury seems to be a blessing in disguise.'

Superhoop50: 'Faurlin by a mile. No other contenders IMO'

sandydl: 'Cant believe Hall is running away with this - Hall himself must be coming on here to vote!

'Has to be Faurlin all the way - he is a different class and, like DanielQPR says, he & Watson are really starting to work together.

'It's a joy watching Faurlin - you can see his footballing brain working as he assesses before making his choice of cross, pass, shot, etc etc. Just get more of those corners into the box like he did when Gorkss went on to score our winner against Wednesday a couple of weeks ago.

'Faurlin really will be a special player for us. Go Faurlin!!'

number8buser: 'I thought Hall had an ok game. But the man for me was the enigma that is Adel (Taarabt). The ONLY forward player who looked like doing anything in front of goal.'

zranger: 'Faurlin was by far the best player on the pitch.'

Ranger48: 'Faurlin was my man of the match.'

DMD_QPR: 'I agree with Superhoop50 and Ranger48, Faurlin had a very good game, for me his best yet so for me was the man of the match'

Guttermouth: 'Got to be Faurlin for MOTM'

Now we ask: How Will QPR Fare Against Middlesbrough?
