Heidar's Decision Proven Correct
Heidar Helguson was in two minds about re-joining former club Watford on loan, but it has since proven to be the correct move.
The Icelandic international has hit fine form for the Hornets, scoring five goals in only three starts for the Vicarage Road outfit.
Cast that against the back-drop of his time at Loftus Road, where goals have been hard to come by and support for the striker is at a minimum.
Former team-mate and current Watford assistant manager Sean Dyche revealed that Heidar had his doubts about the move - but these have been blown out the water by his current form.
He told Eurosport: 'When I spoke to him privately once we had the green light to bring him here, I think it's fair to say that even though he knew he would be appreciated, there is always a little doubt in your mind that he or even other people might be disappointed.
'I'm obviously delighted to say that hasn't happened. I said to him that I thought people would take to him again and because of the way we play he'll have chances, and that's been quite apparent.
'He came round to it and we're all delighted he's come back on loan to play with us.'
Helguson has proven a big hit at Vicarage Road second time around, as he continues to adapt to his new surroundings.
His doubts have been unfounded and his form will have raised a few eyebrows in W12 given the striker's profligacy before his departure.
While it seemed Heidar was destined for pastures new, it may well revive his QPR career, with goals evidently breeding confidence for the forward.
Rumours persist that he may join Watford permanently with Nathan Ellington coming the other way - but Helguson would have to take a significant wage cut were the deal to go ahead.
