Hodson - We'll Give It Everything

Watford defender Lee Hodson has stated that his side are raring to go as they host Rangers live on Sky this evening.

While Rangers were thrashed at home this weekend, the Hornets were on the end of a 2-0 reverse at the hands of Newcastle United.

The 18-year-old defender who has burst into the first team fold this season, following an injury to Jay DeMerit, believes that while QPR are undoubtedly suffering, Watford also need to bounce back.

He told watfordfc.com that he feels confident in the Hornets' ability to defeat Rangers this evening in front of the live viewing audience.

'QPR is a home game, so we want to get onto a winning streak again,' he said.

'Having lost 5-1 at the weekend, they will come to us wanting a result and raring to go, but we will be doing exactly the same off the back of the Newcastle game.

'It doesn't affect me when the Sky cameras are there, I just concentrate on the game and block out the TV, it's just a normal game in front of a normal crowd - you can't let it get to you.

'We will give it everything and try and get three points.'

Watford-born Hodson has already appeared for the Hornets 17 times in his career, while earning three caps for Northern Ireland Under 21s.

He has been playing at right full-back while DeMerit remains sidelined with Adrian Mariappa moving into the middle - but there is a chance he will relent as the American is poised to return in the coming weeks.
