Reports have confirmed that Jim Magilton has left Queens Park Rangers today (Wednesday) with a new name in the hot-seat for Saturday.

The Daily Mail, who have covered proceedings closely, believe that Magilton departed Rangers today with an official announcement expected tomorrow (Thursday).

Meanwhile they believe that Paul Hart is the man to take the helm for Saturday's clash against Sheffield United - the former Portsmouth man is expected to be assisted by Mick Harford.

'Mutual consent' is expected to be the headline on the Rangers website as lawyers complete negotiations for a settlement between Jim and the club.

From this we can deduce that while Magilton wasn't forceful enough to be dismissed for gross misconduct, the damning verdict coming with the players backing Ákos Buzsáky over their boss.

There was an alleged altercation between Buzsáky and Magilton after the 3-1 defeat against Watford, and the culmination of weeks of frustration came to the boil.

Now Rangers will seemingly have Paul Hart in the Loftus Road hot-seat until the end of the season while matters attempt to simmer down off the pitch in W12.

On a personal note, I would like to thank Jim Magilton for some of the best football seen at Loftus Road in recent memory - Many thanks and farewell.
