Rangers boss Paul Hart was encouraged by his side's performance against Sheffield United on Saturday.
The former Portsmouth boss oversaw his first QPR clash this afternoon alongside new assistant Mick Harford and believed that his side's efforts deserved more from the game.
'I was very pleased with the performance overall,' said Paul.
'I thought we started the game well, lost it a little bit in the middle, but drove home in the second half without getting too much reward for our efforts.
'I thought our efforts were excellent over the course of the 90 minutes.
'If we can maintain that tempo and desire, we've got a decent chance.'
He was pleased with the R's players overall and their attitude towards the game overall, not being deterred by conceding the equaliser after a positive start.
'We got a great start, but the goal we conceded was disappointing,' he continued.
'Overall, we didn't go under, we kept going and I was pleased with that against a strong Sheffield United side.'
That was the R's final test prior to Christmas with the next fixture against Bristol City on Boxing Day - a side that should provide a more open game at Loftus Road.
