First QPR Game For Phillips
Dave Phillips from Sussex will take charge of the Boxing Day clash between Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers.
The official joined the National List of Referees in 2008 after serving his apprenticeship in the Conference, and had his debut fixture in the Football League at Brentford.
The Bees 4-0 home win over Grimsby was his first taste of League action and he went on to dish out 65 cards in his 25 fixtures, including five reds - giving him a card average last season of 2.6 cards per game.
Thus far this season he has refereed some games in the higher echelons of the Football League, including a League Cup tie at Crystal Palace and League fixtures at Watford and Peterborough.
49 yellow s and one red in 16 games has upped his card average to 3.13 cards per game - which may well explain his higher placing in just one full season of officiating.
The fixture on Boxing Day will mark his first games for both QPR and Bristol City, with both sides hoping he tempers his card count for the game.
Against Bristol City he will be assisted by linesmen Mr Gary Jerden (Essex) and Mr Wade Norcott (Essex), with the fourth official Mr Lee Collins (Surrey).
