Cousin Poised

The agent of striker Daniel Cousin has confirmed that a deal has been agreed for Hull City striker.

The striker that is away on international duty with Gabon during the African Cup of Nations has reportedly agreed a loan deal with Rangers after the competition.

He has fallen down the pecking order at the KC Stadium after a positive start to his Hull career, and is now searching for regular first team football at Loftus Road.

Speaking to Sky Sports agent Willy McKay has confirmed that the deal is poised to be completed after the two parties agreed in principle.

'The two clubs have agreed a loan deal for Daniel,' he said.

'Paul Hart has spoken to Daniel and he is keen to bring him to Loftus Road.

'Daniel is away with Gabon as he is captain of his country, but he is happy to make the move to QPR.

'He wants to be playing football regularly and he feels this is a good move for him as they are an ambitious club.'

The deal would prove quite a coup for Rangers who had previously been chasing injury-prone front-man Caleb Folan - a player vastly inferior to the talent of Cousin.

He has played for Lens and Glasgow Rangers before moving to the KC Stadium for a reported fee of around £3m.
