Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Mariner has expressed his satisfaction that the fixture at Loftus Road was postponed.

Mariner expressed his concerns regarding the fixture yesterday given the testing conditions around the country at present.

The game was called off owing to safety concerns around the ground, rather than inside the stadium where the pitch was deemed playable.

Speaking to pafc.co.uk Mariner was quick to praise authorities for their decision, indicating that safety of supporters was the most important factor.

'It is a sensible decision,' he said.

'If you look at the weather forecast, it's not going to be great in London and the safety of supporters has to be of paramount importance.

'We could have got there and they [QPR] have under-soil heating, so the game could have gone ahead, but with nobody watching. The weather is probably going to get worse between now and kick-off time.'

It remains unclear when the game will be replayed but a date is expected to be announced in due course.

Yeah bloody sensible to ruin our weekend plans when we have a playable pitch. The fans who want to get there will. Just play the damn game, you will be surprised as to how many football fans are not a bunch of little girls scared of some snow on the way.

Look out for this week's edition of the Kilburn Times - you will see my views on this matter over there. Suffice to say I agree with you LCF.

Boxer, I hope you will have something in there criticising H&F Council. It is their resposibility to ensure that the roads are clear and, thanks to them not doing enough, the two games scheduled to take place in the borough this weekend have now been postponed. BTW, How much do the council make from QPR, Chelsea and Fulham?
