Routledge Signs For Newcastle

Rangers winger Wayne Routledge has signed for Newcastle United today.

With speculation looming that the winger was poised to sign for Middlesbrough, the Magpies have stepped in to capture the highly-rated wide-man.

He has penned a three and a half year deal at St James' Park, and signs for an undisclosed fee.

This will come as a bitter blow to Rangers fans who see playoff ambitions fastly diminishing at the sale of one of their key assets.

Un-bloody-believable - we truly ARE a farce - no more to say :-(

He has been rather poor recently, but selling one of your key assets is a distinct lack of ambition. Even if we buy big to replace him it won't replace the damage done. Poor sale.

Spectacularly unimpressed by this sale, what makes it worse is the whole undisclosed fee business. Now if we got £3 million it might make the bitter pill taste better. And I see Pat's gone, who are we getting? That's the last time I go away to Portugal for a long weekend playing golf - well maybe not!

Absolute farking pi$$take, and I fully urge all QPR fans bothering to turn up on Sat to take part in the 'clown' protest
Guttermouth
Fairplay Gutter, turning up is important for the team, but vent frustrations as you will to the board.

Outrageous !!!!! Even if he's been below par lately (and which player hasn't been ?)he was one of our few quality players at the club that could really scare the opposition on his day. Mark my words all the guys that have left, Agyemang, Watson, Routledge, Helguson etc, will suddenly become great again. The mess behind the scenes is killing this club NOT the players.

Kiwi - agree with you - Routledge was our best player a few months ago even if not recently - but you still dont go selling/loaning out your best players. Funny how Camp & Blackstock are just blooming at Forest - Helguson has done so well at Watford ... Our Club is beyond a joke now - I'm getting angry coz I was sucked into the hype & spin and really thought this Board would finally have the true interests of this Club at heart - but they're rapidly proving to be bigger a**holes than even Richard Thompson and his family all those years ago!
