New Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock believes it's the right time to join QPR and is looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Rangers agreed compensation with Crystal Palace and accrued the services of the once Sheffield United manager, Vital QPR revealed today.

Now he has had a chance to fully take in his surroundings following the official announcement, Warnock expressed his delight at coming to Loftus Road.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk he said: 'I am delighted to be joining a club with the history that QPR has.

'As a manager, Loftus Road is always a place I loved because of the fantastic atmosphere there.

'Looking from afar I believe this is the perfect time for me to come in, with the new structure and chairman in place.

'Together we can give the club the stability that it needs.

'I am really looking forward to the challenge that's in front of me.'

The buzz-word of stability was something also uttered by influential figure at QPR, Amit Bhatia, and with Warnock handed a three-and-a-half year deal in W12 it has certainly sent a message to the doubters.

A new-look QPR with very different messages coming from the front-line have succeeded where they had previously failed in tempting Warnock to pen a deal with the R's.

Rangers courted the interest of the former Palace boss in the summer but his close ties with former chairman Simon Jordan saw him remain the Eagles manager.

With Palace's current plight, Warnock was said to be disappointed with the situation at Selhurst Park, and has since decided to answer the long-awaited call to manage Rangers.
