Queens Park Rangers chairman Ishan Saksena is delighted with the appointment of his number one target in Neil Warnock.

Vital QPR revealed today that Neil Warnock was to be announced as Rangers boss, and fans and board are equally as delighted with the appointment.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk he said: 'Neil was always our number one target and so we are delighted to announce him as our manager.

'He has great experience in English football and a phenomenal track record. I believe he is the right man to help QPR achieve its ambitions.'

Saksena added: 'Neil will be given the full support of the Board, and I know our fans will give him their full backing as well.'

Quite how much financial backing remains to be seen with rumours that he will have a sizeable war-chest come the end of the season to strengthen the squad.

Rumours persist that he is looking to bring the likes of Darren Ambrose and Nathaniel Clyne with him, but at present the speculation has cooled.
