Hart Named Palace Boss

Former Queens Park Rangers boss Paul Hart has replaced Neil Warnock as manager of Crystal Palace.

Hart lasted just 28 days in the managerial hot-seat at Loftus Road before resigning his position - seen by many as a blessing in disguise owing to his style of play.

Following a strange announcement that Rangers had prematurely confirmed Neil Warnock as manager, Palace appointed Hart just hours later.

'It`s a very responsible position I've got,' Hart told Sky Sports

'A very important job with the staff with the players with everybody's help with the supporters our sole aim is to stay in this division

'Once Neil had left a manager needed to be in place, and it's for a very short term and it's for a reason.'

Hart's comments suggests that he will be there prior to a takeover, with any potential new owners looking to bring in their own man.

There were rumours surrounding the possibility of Iain Dowie, Steve Coppell or even Gareth Southgate, but Hart's appointment will no doubt be an anti-climax to many Palace fans.
