Baggies Snap Up Ex-R

West Bromwich Albion have signed former QPR loanee Steven Reid on loan

The injury prone Blackburn midfielder spent a brief period at Loftus Road under Jim Magilton but a hamstring complained curtailed his spell.

Now he looks set to join the Albion squad that travel to Loftus Road this weekend, as both he and Ben Watson are eligible to team up against the R's.

Watson and Reid started together in the disastrous defeat up at Doncaster Rovers in November, and R's fans will be hoping for a performance of similar calibre this weekend.

It means that the Baggies are well set in midfield with the ex-R's pairing competing with Youssouf Mulumbu, Robert Koren and Graham Dorrans for a place in W12.
