Tosic Is An R!

Warnock told Tuesday night's press conference that he was hoping to bring someone in before Thursday's loan deadline - and he has! Portsmouth's Dusko Tosic has today joined QPR on loan until the end of the season.

Warnock also said that he wouldn't bring anyone in on loan unless they were prepared to join us permanently in the summer. We can therefore assume that Tosic will become a fully paid-up member of the QPR squad once the transfer window officially opens in July!

Tosic, a Serbian international, attracted attention from a host of Championship teams, including Swansea City. But he opted to join the Rs because of our history and because he felt we were the right team for him to be able to play his football:

'I am delighted to be here. All I want to do is play games, and hopefully I will get that chance here with Queens Park Rangers,' Tosic told the QPR official website this afternoon, after penning his deal.

'I didn't want to play for any Championship team, it had to be right. I have watched a couple of QPR matches and there are some very good players here. The Club has a great tradition also, which is important,' he added.

A left-back, Tosic can also play at centre back. He is expected to go straight into the squad for our away trip to Preston on Saturday - particularly with it looking unlikely that Matthew Connolly will be fit in time.

STAR! Thanks very much Sandy. Also I am very happy with this signing, and that we got one over on Sousa... who'd want to play THAT style of play every week.
