Report - Ambrose Agrees Deal

Darren Ambrose has reportedly agreed a deal to take him to Loftus Road following a medical today.

Sky Sports are this evening reporting that the former Charlton Athletic and Newcastle United midfielder has agreed the deal that will safeguard Crystal Palace's immediate future.

A £750,000 deal will help sustain the Eagles until a new investor can be sought, with Ambrose completing his medical today.

The 20-goal hitman has certainly proved a prize asset for Palace this season, bolstering their charge for the playoffs initially, then scoring the crucial goal in their bid for survival.

He is one of several targets that are hoping to be finalised prior to the pre-season tour of Cornwall, as Warnock continues to build his desired squad in W12.

have to say i think this will turn out to be a great deal for you as he looks to be at last fulfilling his potential that he showed as a teenager with Ipswich,
oxfordspur
I agree oxfordspur I think that he is our 20 goals a season man and with leon clark the target man and jamie mackie with the assists we this could be qprs best signing in a while now
Rs fan super hoop
are we ever gonna sign him?!
deano_h
Patience, deano. I know he can get 20 a season but expecting it from a midfielder is asking a little too much. 10-15 is more than enough for me.

i wouldnt pin too many hopes on leon clarke being any kind of target man, granted he is a BIG target but that is where it ends unfortunately
ozzietheowl
I agree that he proberbly wont set the world alight ozzie but then he can't be worse than what we have but Mackie man he will be good!
