Queens Park Rangers have reportedly had a bid turned down by Sheffield United for their goalkeeper Paddy Kenny.

The stopper that signed for the Blades under now QPR boss Neil Warnock will not have the opportunity to open talks with Rangers after Sheffield United dismissed the R's offer.

The offer is believed to be in the region of £750,000 rising to £1m, and it is being reported in the Daily Mirror that this set-back may not deter Warnock from bidding again.

Kenny, 32 spent a season on the sidelines after testing positive for ephedrine and made his first appearance of the season in April.

It seems that joe lewis is being lined up now. I would prefer to have speroni but lewis is a good keeper and would complete a hat-trick of signings from relegated teams!

£2m solid cash and he's yours!!

He's a decent 'keeper but not worth that kind of money by any means. Bit like Radek in the respect that he is a class shot-stopper but decision making and judgement is sometimes lacking. I'd rather Speroni if I'm honest.

I would rather have lewis because he is good all ready and he could do it in the prem and he is still young
