After weeks of speculation, the signing of Shaun Derry has finally been confirmed by QPR. The midfielder who is out of contract at Crystal Palace will join QPR from the 1st of July 2010.

The player was tempted to join after being impressed by our performance at Selhurst Park. The midfielder said 'When QPR came to Palace at the end of last season, in my own opinion, they were the best side we played at Selhurst Park. That was the kind of performance Neil will want from us next season.'

He also showed that Warnock was a big influence in his decision when he said 'Neil was a big sway. When he comes calling, you have to consider what he brings to the table and I really like working with him.He knows what he wants and he's got a way of getting the best out of people. Whenever I've played under him, I've played my best football and long may that continue.'

Great news - but this deal happening suggests to me that Ambrose wont be joining us, after all :-( Now for the strikers?!

Ambrose and Derry are a different kind of player - to me it would suggest that one of either Mahon or Ledge may be offski!

Mahon is out of contract and seems like he is out. I doubt Legs will leave

If you've read about him and Warnock in the past and the possible fee he could command, it may well be something we could pursue.

You have misunderstood me - I'm talking about the politics between Rangers and Palace over Ambrose - not about the players themselves!

Doesnt look like Ambrose is coming wich is a real dissapointment. Hopefully Warnock can land some quality forwards and a decent left back before next season. I think it`s time we start to throw some money around.
