Alejandro Faurlín is due to sign a new contract at Queens Park Rangers despite interest mounting in the Argentinean.

The Fulham Chronicle are of the belief that Faurlín is attracting interest from Serie A and Spain, but a new deal is poised to be penned in W12.

Celtic were rumoured to be interested in the impressive midfielder, but were never in truth going to come close to the player's valuation.

Happy with the contract length - rumoured to be until 2014 - the only issue for discussion appears to be wages as both sides iron out terms.

After what was a slow start, Faurlín emerged as a highly-influential player in the latter stages of the season, and it has been made clear he is integral to Neil Warnock's plans.
