The official QPR website needs improvement

Vital QPR - Breaking News

The QPR website has annoyed a lot of us while all we want is to find out news about our beloved Rangers. We are all familiar with the late updates, that is if they do ever arrive on the official website. We normally rely on sites like this unofficial fan site for news.

We understand that there may be confidentiality agreements in place, when it comes to announcements regarding signings. However, why is news on injuries out well after most other websites have reported it? Is there a reason for the lack of communication between the club and fans?

Three recent events that come to mind are, firstly, the announcement of a fan favourite, Lee Cook being injured; which was reported in the Kilburn Times before the official website. Secondly, the lack of news on Gavin Mahon is shocking, considering he led the QPR squad on a few occasions. He is no longer listed on the player profiles so why is there no announcement of him being released or being given an opportunity to go back and train with the squad? Finally, the last event of this month is the lack of any reports about the reserves matches against Borehamwood or Saltash United. I invite any of you to go on the official website, click match and then reserves fixtures. If you notice there has been no update since mid-April.

We would like to think that clubs set up websites for interaction between the club and it's fans. The lack of interest from the club to fulfil their duty of keeping the fans up to date has left a lot of fans disillusioned. It is time for change

If you have any more examples of the incompetence of the official website please leave a comment or join the forums and leave your message there. I plan to submit a list of these events to the club and ask them how they intend to fix it.

You're right, LCF - although eventually there was an announcement about the Reserves match at Borehamwood (24 hours before the game, I think). I had to ring the Club to find out about it!

And I've just thought of something else - Patrick Agyemang apparently missed the Cornwall tour through injury - or at least some of it - but he hasn't gone to Italy. The offish site have said absolutely nothing about his injury - so what IS going on with Big Dave, hey?!

Someone has taken notice and updated the reserves site!
