Trialist Gets Second Invite
Queens Park Rangers have offered a young forward the opportunity to continue his trial after performing well in a recent friendly.
Dennis Mason - who features for South West Peninsula League Ivybridge Town - was introduced wide in a 4-5-1 formation against Saltash United.
QPR XI went two goals down despite having the majority of early attacking play, but goals from Rowan Vine, Danny Fitzsimmons and Romone Rose secured an excellent overhaul.
Mason revealed his delight at being able to feature for the R's, speaking to the Plymouth Evening Herald: 'Ronnie phoned me last Saturday to ask if I wanted to play some part in the game at Saltash on the Monday.
'Rangers were playing a 4-5-1 formation and I was told to play out wide on the right and that was perfect for me as I saw a lot of the ball,' he said.
Mason entered the field at two goals down and his impact contributed towards Rangers come-back - Ronnie Jepson will be looking for more of the same this evening against Taunton Town.
