Kenny - King of the Captures

Vital QPR readers have voted Paddy Kenny as the R's best summer signing thus far.

If you ask any Queens Park Rangers fan what they crave they will cut your question short with the word striker - a proven one at that.

While many understand that not even Neil Warnock can fail to recognise the void in the forward line, the message-boards once again grow vociferous in their critique of his captures.

Warnock himself has stated the desire in recent days not to capture a striker, but a pair of strikers and it appears patience is the order of the day in that department - patience and trust.

Of the signings thus far, Rangers appear to have bolstered their experience and strength in opposing areas of the field as well as a bit of flair in Jamie Mackie and proven competition for the gloves.

The most successful of these has been the latter - Paddy Kenny, the joint-recipient of the Golden Glove with his team-mate Radek Cerny in 2009 and a first choice 'keeper at Sheffield United.

Kenny opted to re-join boss Neil Warnock for the third time over a new deal at Bramall Lane, raising the ire of Blades supporters but giving him the fresh surrounding that he evidently craved.

He came top of the Vital QPR poll of which captures impressed fans most with strike-duo Jamie Mackie and Leon Clarke taking second and third respectively.

The results are detailed below in descending order:

1. Paddy Kenny - 55%
2. Jamie Mackie - 31%
3. Leon Clarke - 7%
4. Shaun Derry - 4%
5. Clint Hill - 3%

Rumours of further signings persist, with several striker's names on the radar along with Bristol City full-back Bradley Orr, but fans will have to wait for the time being.

We now move forward to a new poll and ask - courtesy of LeeCookFan:
