KEY PLAYERS

Hugo Colace - Last season`s player of the year, the former Argentine U-21 midfielder has been a constant in the first team having made 80 appearances scoring 8 goals since arriving from Flamengo in 2008. The cultured midfielder enjoyed a fine season under Mark Robins last term and will be looking to continue that excellent form into the new campaign.

Iain Hume - Everyone remembers the horrific incident inflicted by Chris Morgan which saw Hume out of action for the best part of a year. Unsurprisingly Hume has struggled to re-capture his form of old due to a stop start campaign blighted with niggly injuries. Hume however will be looking to start this season on a high having fond memories of Loftus Road where he scored on his Barnsley debut and also for Leicester City on a memorable New Years day for the R`s in 2008.

Adam Hammill - Winner of last season`s young player of the season and goal of the season awards, the former Liverpool winger has made 57 appearances first team appearances scoring 5 goals for Barnsley. The 21 year old will be one to watch this season with his direct approach and eye for a classy goal he should create problems for most championship defences.
