Marc Richards - A hard working forward with an eye for goal, Richards has scored 35 goals in 117 appearances since joining from Barnsley in 2007. Richards scored an impressive 22 goals last season and was rewarded with a two year contract extension keeping him at the club until 2012. The most likely source for goals this season, he will be looking to lead Port Vale`s promotion charges.

Lee Collins - A versatile young defender who can play all across the back four, Collins was ever present last season making 51 appearances in all competitions. Collins joined from Port Vale from Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan before signing a two and half year deal in January 2009. At 21 Collins is a good player with potential to play at a higher level.
