In 2006 he initially joined Rochdale on loan scoring 3 in 21 games, he later signed for Rochdale for a fee of £15,000. Dagnall went on to make 135 appearances for Rochdale netting 51 times. This summer he left Rochdale on a free opting to sign for Championship side Scunthorpe United. This year is a big year for Dagnall and a test to see whether or not he can cut it at a higher level.

Rob Jones : The strong centre back joined Scunthorpe from Hibernian for a club record transfer of £700,000. Measuring in at a formidable 6ft7 the former Hibernian captain had a successful first season at Scunthorpe and took to the Championship well having previously plied his trade in Scotland and the English lower leagues.
