Middlesbrough front man Kris Boyd has been identified as Vital QPR as the One to Watch as top of the table Rangers welcome The Teesiders to Loftus Road on Saturday.

Name: Kris Boyd

Date of Birth: 18/08/83

Former Clubs: Kilmarnock, Rangers

Appearances (Goals): 300 (165)

Middlesbrough`s Scottish striker will be looking to kick-start a somewhat slow start to the season by netting against a QPR side keen to keep up their impressive defensive record. Tipped to take the Championship by storm, Boyd will be looking to continue his scintillating goalscoring form from where he made his name in Scotland.

Boyd signed a senior contract with Kilmarnock on 25 August 1999. During the 2002/2003 season, he scored 12 times and won Kilmarnock`s award for Young Player of the Year. In September 2004 he scored all of Kilmarnock`s five goals against Dundee United, and finished the season with 19 goals in all competitions.

Boyd officially signed for Rangers on 1 January 2006. He waived half of his £40 000 signing on fee, which Kilmarnock were due to pay him under the terms of his contract, to help fund the youth setup at his former club. He scored a hat-trick on his debut, and this would only prove to become a snippet of how deadly the Scot would prove to become in front of goal for Rangers.

He was top scorer for Rangers in every one of his five seasons with the club winning back-to-back Scottish Premier League titles in 2009 and 2010, together with two Scottish Cup and two Scottish League Cup winners` medals. He ended up netting 101 goals in 118 Premier League starts for Rangers in four years at the Scottish giants.

After being courted by a few Premiership clubs, Boyd eventually signed for Middlesbrough in 2010 on a two-year deal, with the aim of firing Boro back to the Premiership.
