Key Players:

Billy Sharp: Club record signing Billy Sharp signed for Donny this summer for £1,150,000 from Sheffield United. Sharp spent last season on loan at the Keepmoat scoring 15 goals in 33 apearances. His fine form was enough to persuade manager Sean O`Driscoll to sign him for what is a substantial fee for a club like Doncaster. Prior to Doncaster Billy Sharp had spells at Sheffield United and Scunthorpe. At Scunthorpe he scored an impressive 53 goals in 82 appearances breaking previous goal records at Glanford Park.

James Coppinger: A creative midfielder that has an eye for a goal Coppinger is the driving force behind a lot of Doncaster`s forward play. Coppinger is currently Doncaster`s longest serving player having joined in 2004 and has been a mainstay in the side playing a major part in Doncaster`s rise through the football league. He started his career at Newcastle Untied and had loan spells at Hartlepool before joining Exeter City in 2002.
