Gorkss Hails 'Unbelievable' Defending

Two-goal hero Kaspars Gorkss has heaped praise on his fellow defenders after their seventh clean sheet of the season.

Rangers were victorious without reply once against yesterday as Doncaster Rovers were on the wrong end of the leaders' relentless ruthlessness in all areas of the park.

While Latvian international Kaspars Gorkss has been instrumental in keeping together a rock-steady defence, he also netted his first goals of the season in this weekend's clash.

The defender was keen to concentrate on the side's defensive record this campaign, with only two goals conceded and an incredible draw at Derby the only blemish on a near perfect record.

Gorkss told QPR.co.uk: 'The clean sheet record is unbelievable.

'Of course there's an element of luck involved, but we're defending well and long may it continue.

'We've got a couple of tough games coming up and our attention immediately switches to Millwall on Tuesday night.'

After the game Gorkss was, in his own words, 'buzzing' as he helped Warnock's charges to maintain their 100% home record and seeing Rangers six points clear at the summit.

Now - as Kaspars mentioned - Rangers have to host Millwall on Tuesday night in what will no doubt be a stern test of their credentials from former R's coach Kenny Jackett.
