The Return of Gavin Mahon

Returning from the wilderness, Gavin Mahon has today penned a new deal with Queens Park Rangers.

With his contract expiring in the summer while injured, many feared the worst for Gavin Mahon's future at Loftus Road.

While speculation grew that he had left the club, Neil Warnock was still giving the holding midfielder a chance to prove his worth.

Warnock has now handed the veteran a months deal to further bolster the QPR squad for tomorrow night in light of an injury to Ákos Buzsáky.

Must be because Leigertwood is just SOOOOOOOOO useless that Warnock will take an unproven (in his eyes) Mahon over that plank!

I feel that this is almost a loan. With Buz out for what could be quite a long time and Faurlin not going to be risked this early in the season as well as Legs seemingly past it (gasp for air) we have very little cover for Derry if any so (gaaasssp) Mahon has been signed almost as an emergency loan which will give him some game time as well as letting some scouts presumably from league 1 and 2 have a look at him. Best case scenario is that he impresses and is a helpful squad member who helps us get promoted before being signed by a solid championship team.

I forgot to mention Rowly in the previous post. Interesting to see if Taarabt goes off whether Mahon or Derry would get the armband presuming they were both on the pitch.
