Key Players:

Marvin Elliot: The tireless centre-midfielder signed from Millwall in 2007 for an undisclosed compensation fee. Elliot made 144 appearances for The Lions scoring 3 goals. A player described as a traditional box-to box midfielder with exceptional stamina, Elliot can dominate the midfield battle using his physicality and high work-rate. Since signing for the Robins, Elliot has made 134 appearances in all competitions scoring 12 goals.

Jon Stead: A player that loves to score against the R`s, Stead has scored 3 in his last 3 games against QPR. The nomadic Stead started his career at Huddersfield and gained a reputation as a highly promising youngster after scoring 24 goals 75 games for the Terriers. His impressive form in 2003-04 earned him a move to Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. He made 42 appearances for Rovers scoring 8 goals. After failing to hold down a first team place he was transferred to Sunderland for 1.8 million. He only scored twice for Sunderland in 35 games. During his time with the Black Cats he went out on loan to Derby scoring 3 times in 17 outings. Neil Warnock signed Stead at Sheffield United for a fee believed to be 750,000. Stead scored 8 times in 39 games before moving on loan and then later on a permanent to Ipswich. At Ipswich he scored 18 times in 63 games before again moving out on loan this time to Coventry. This summer Stead signed for Bristol City and made his debut against former club Ipswich.
