Key Player:

Peter Whittingham: A versatile midfielder with excellent technique, Peter Whittingham started his career at Aston Villa and featured 56 times scoring 1 league goal. During his time at Villa Whittingham went out on loan to Burnley and Derby County. After failing to hold down a first team place at Villa, he joined Cardiff in 2007 for a reported fee of £350,000. Since joining Cardiff Whittingham has become a central figure for the Bluebirds and last season was in sensational form scoring a staggering 22 goals from midfield. He is a real danger from set-pieces and is awareness and ability to bring others into play makes him a valuable asset for Cardiff.
