'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Derry - It's Up to Us

SHAUN Derry believes that Rangers can achieve promotion if they maintain their consistent performances.

The midfield maestro has rolled back the years this campaign to put in a string of commanding displays.

The former Crystal Palace man is highly-regarded among the QPR supporters for his combative style and no nonsense approach.

He told QPR.co.uk that Rangers need to remain consistent as they look to realise their dream of Premier League football.

'We just need to continue what we've been doing all season,' he said.

'If we get the basics right, the rest will fall into place.

'We're a close knit squad and that has served us well all season long.'

Derry has only missed one fixture, owing to suspension, this season, testament to the fitness levels of the veteran campaigner

Up coming fixtures against Sheffield United, Scunthorpe United and Barnsley could have a big say in the promotion shake-up.

'We'll approach the run-in like we have every single game of the season,' Derry continued.

'We know the end of the rainbow is in sight and the pot of gold is on the horizon.

'It's up to us to make it happen.'

With a mere eight games remaining Queens Park Rangers are perfectly poised at the summit, but consistency is the key to maintaining their lofty position.
