Mysterious stomach complaint afflicts Taarabt

It appears that Adel Taarabt has a mysterious stomach problem which requires a scan.

Taarabt didn't train last week, except for Thursday, when he suffered from stomach pains. He continued to suffer over the weekend and was not going to play last night, when QPR took on Sheffield United in the live Monday night fixture.

In the event, Taarabt played, but perhaps (on reflection) not quite at his best and was subbed on 70 minutes.

The scan is apparently set for later today.

On a personal note, there has been a rather virulent stomach bug going round my class last week - which I unfortunately caught on Friday and left me with crippling cramps! I know - too much information - but I'm hoping that Taarabt has been suffering from the same bug and not from a stomach muscle tear or something else more drastic that would keep him out of our remaining 7 fixtures!
