Taarabt: For The Fans

Adel Taarabt wants to seal promotion this weekend for the Queens Park Rangers supporters.

The enigmatic Taarabt, recently voted Championship player of the Year, has sent a rallying cry to his fellow players and supporters ahead of the big clash at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The brief is relatively simple - win and Rangers will be a Premier League club. In practice however Neil Warnock epitomised the true nature of the task labelling the Cardiff strike force as the best in the league.

Nevertheless Taarabt is relishing the task of a trip to the Welsh capital, expecting an open, expansive game that anyone can win - and he hopes to win it for the supporters.

Speaking to QPR.co.uk he said: 'We have very good fans.

'When we go away, they always follow us and hopefully we can win at Cardiff. It would be fantastic if we could do it for them.'

He continued: 'I'm looking forward to it. As a player, these are the types of games that you want to play in.'

The Moroccan has netted 16 times this season for the R's and will be looking to add to his tally this weekend in what is sure to be a keenly-contested encounter.
