Derry Ready For Fireworks
SHAUN Derry is looking forward to watching the sparks fly as Joey Barton and Adel Taarabt team up
Unfazed by new introductions, Derry has been delighted with the new recruits to compliment the squad - including Joey Barton.
Derry told Open All R's that he is looking forward to watching things develop over the coming weeks and months.
'At times I'm going to buy some popcorn and watch the movie unravel, because I'm sure there's going to be fireworks, like there is in any dressing room.
'A lot of people are going to make so much of this Barton and Taarabt situation, but we're hopeful it can blossom and there's an understanding there.'
The combative midfielder played a pivotal role in Rangers rise to the top flight, but may now have to take a back seat owing to Barton's introduction.
