Di Marzio: Napoli Need Taarabt

Advisor to Queens Park Rangers - Gianni di Marzio - has called on Napoli to sign the enigmatic Adel Taarabt.

Taarabt has been linked with several moves away from the club including the nouveau-riche Paris St Germain, but little has been forthcoming in terms of an official bid.

In the summer the Moroccan courted the interest of both the Paris club and also Napoli, a side which di Marzio has managed over two spells in the 1960s and 1970s.

di Marzio encouraged his former club to lodge a formal bid for the talented Moroccan, indicating that their time has come to sign a bigger name player:

He told the Italian media: 'I really hope they are going to make a bid for Adel Taarabt.

'He is very extrovert and spectacular, a real juggler of the football. He is a player who belongs on the big stage.'


Often attributed to discovering the talent of Diego Maradona, di Marzio has had a role to play in some of Rangers' transfer activity in recent years.
