Mackie Craves Goals

QUEENS Park Rangers striker Jamie Mackie remains unfazed regarding goal-scoring this season and insists it's just around the corner.

The striker has made stunning strides back to to full fitness following his double leg-break ten months ago.

His return from the bench at Fulham lit a spark within the set-up who have since performed admirably in the top flight.

Mackie told the Fulham Chronicle that the goals are just around the corner, insisting it's only a matter of time.

He said: 'Other people may think about it more than me. I know if I keep getting in the right areas and carry on playing like I am I will score goals.

'I'll keep training hard and working on my finishing. I'm not worried about it.

'I do really want a goal. I feel I've been really unlucky that I haven't scored so far but it's only a matter of time. As long as we keep on getting results it doesn't matter who scores.'

The forward looks set to start once more against West Bromwich Albion this weekend with Nicky Shorey or Billy Jones his likely counterpart.
