'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Graham Explains QPR Snub

DANNY Graham has been keen to tell the Welsh media why he opted out of a move to Loftus Road this summer.

The former Middlesbrough and Watford front-man was targeted by Neil Warnock during the more prudent part of the summer transfer window, while remaining under the guidance of Flavio Briatore.

The 26-year-old forward had impressed at Watford with 38 goals in 91 appearances, and boss Neil Warnock was one of many managers in the frame for his signature.

Graham told Wales Online:: 'I went to speak to QPR and I was tempted by them. They are obviously a club on the up and they have a lot of money to back that up.

'But, in terms of the football sense, I thought Swansea was better suited for me. I am a centre forward and can be a target man, but I like to play football as well.

'The way Swansea play football, they pass and move, and I thought it was better for my development as a player.

'I`m glad I joined Swansea City.'

Swansea's solid defensive foundation has been the basis for their success thus far with Graham netting five times.

Rangers by comparison has have struggled defensively but have a more potent goalscorer thus far in Heidar Helguson - who has scored seven times in sum this season.

Graham has already been outlined by Vital QPR as the One to Watch tomorrow evening, and this can be viewed here >>>
