Mackie Eyes More Goals

JAMIE Mackie is looking to continue his recent goalscoring run against Arsenal

The boyhood Tottenham Hotspur fan is eyeing another goalscoring return this weekend as Rangers travel to upwardly-mobile Arsenal.

The Gunners had hit a trailblazing run of form until a minor blip last time out in drawing to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mackie meanwhile has scored in QPR's last two encounters against Sunderland and Swansea City, both ending in draws for QPR.

The striker fancies his chances of netting more goals despite playing a slightly adapted role this campaign.

He told QPR.co.uk: 'It's nice to get on a little scoring run.

'Obviously I've been asked to play a little bit deeper this year, so the goalscoring chances are few and far between, but I've got a job to do for the team and I love playing in the Premier League.

'I feel really confident about my game and I'm sure I'll get chances.'

The forward has marked his return since a broken leg at Blackburn nearly a year ago sidelined him for a prolonged period.

Two goals already this campaign could spark a similar goalscoring run to last campaign that helped fire Rangers to the summit - never looking back from there on.
