QPR Sign Man Utd Striker

Queens Park Rangers have swooped to sign Italian front-man Federico Macheda

The 20-year-old burst onto the scene with the Red Devils after winners against Aston Villa and Sunderland in 2009.

The former Lazio forward has also spent time on loan at Sampdoria where he was predominantly used as a substitute.

He has signed a loan deal until the end of the current campaign and will not have to be named in the 25-man squad due to his age.

The Rome-born forward will wear number 33 for Rangers, keen to impress Sir Alex Ferguson in the season run-in

Encouraging then...

His always had the potential to be a great striker boxer. He went of the rails a bit when he went to Sampdoria but his been very honest about it. If he steps up then you've got a great player in your hands but that's what this loan deal is all about I guess, whether he can take that next step.
