The Men in Black - QPR v Wigan Athletic

Jonathan Moss will take charge of the crucial weekend encounter between Queens Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic.

Moss from West Yorkshire progressed from the National List of Assistant Referees to the full Referees List in 2005.

He is one of the latest to be added to the Select List of Referees, having earned his promotion to the top flight in 2011

Thus far this season Mr Moss has dished out 74 yellow cards and nine reds in 20 games - giving him an average of 4.15 cards per game.

He will be assisted by Mr Darren Cann (Norfolk) and Mr Andy Garratt (West Midlands), the fourth official is select list referee Mr Mike Dean (Wirral)

Refereeing Rangers

In 2007/08 Mr Moss oversaw his first Rangers game as Mick Harford's QPR lost out to Colchester United at Layer Road.

Following the sacking of Gregory, Harford dipped into the transfer market to sign Rowan Vine, both he and Hogan Ephraim scored in a 4-2 defeat against the eventually-relegated U's.

The following season QPR entertained Steve Coppell's Reading, a side looking a good bet for a playoff place. In a typically dull affair it ended goalless at Loftus Road.

Later on that season Rangers had the chance to play party poopers as they travelled to Wolverhampton Wanderers, who needed just one more win to secure their place in the Premier League. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's goal just after half time secured the points and the prize for Wolves who were promoted as champions of the Championship.

He presided over Jim Magilton's Queens Park Rangers as their season took a turn for the worse live on Sky television. Off the back of some thumping form, Rangers were beaten at home by Leicester City with Adel Taarabt's first half goal cancelled out by a Matty Fryatt double.

Following this was QPR's promotion season - however things typically did not go as planned at Norwich City. Rangers had Matt Connolly set off for brushing Grant Holt when clear through on goal, as Russell Martin slammed home the winner for the Canaries.
