Report - Diakité Signs

SAMBA Diakité has penned a loan deal with Queens Park Rangers according to French club AS Nancy

The French club are this evening reporting Diakité has signed a loan deal with QPR until the end of the current campaign with a view to a permanent transfer.

Rangers will therefore have an option to sign the central midfielder - who can also play in defence - at the end of the campaign providing they can secure their Premier League status.

'It will become a permanent transfer if the London club stay in the Premier League,' stated asnl.net.

He was reportedly poised to fly back from the African Cup of Nations - where he is currently plying his trade for Mali - but his country preferred him not to fly out and back purely to pen his deal.

His current French club seems certain however that an agreement has been reached and Mark Hughes has made his third January signing, following Taye Taiwo and Nedum Onouha.
