Hughes Hails QPR Fans

MARK Hughes was keen to heap praise on the QPR supporters in the wake of their 3-2 victory over Liverpool.

Rangers came from two goals down with Shaun Derry, Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie capping off a memorable comeback for the relegation threatened hosts.

Hughes was impressed by not only his players but also the support received, despite the vociferous jeering of Joey Barton as he was substituted.

'The atmosphere was something special - the noise was incredible,' he told QPR.CO.UK.

'The fans can see that we're progressing.

'They stuck by us all night long, even when things weren't going our way.

'We've given them something to shout about tonight, but we need to continue with this momentum now.'

Rangers face Sunderland at the weekend in the knowledge that a win will keep them out of the bottom three.
