Taye Taiwo is being linked with a move to Portugal - should QPR make the move to retain him permanently?
The Nigerian international was a consistent feature in QPR's back four, ousting Armand Traoré, who himself had to be contented with limited appearances in various roles following his return from the African Cup of Nations.
Making his debut against Aston Villa, Taiwo displayed himself as a composed defender - sometimes to his detriment - with an excellent eye for delivery.
The loan spell from AC Milan came to an end and the finale of the 2011-12 campaign, with QPR securing safety in a dramatic encounter at the Etihad Stadium.
The defender now is looking to make a permanent move away from the San Siro - with Benfica one of his alleged potential options.
As a defender at times he has been found wanting, but there have been moments of class from the Nigerian in terms of delivery and set-piece precision.
The question we pose in our poll - is Taye Taiwo the man to permanently fill the left-back void, or would you prefer and existing option in either Traoré or Clint Hill.
The floor is yours!
