Skipper Stripped Of Armband
JOEY Barton has been stripped of the QPR captaincy following an investigation into his on-field behaviour.
The midfielder saw red after some frankly baffling antics against former club Manchester City. This lead him to elbow Carlos Tevez - for which he was dismissed - kick Sergio Aguero up in the air and attempt a headbutt on Vincent Kompany.
The club conducted an internal investigation on the matter and concluded that Barton will be fined six weeks wages and relinquish the captain's armband as punishment for his behaviour.
Barton is doubtful to be included in QPR's squad for the first half of the campaign having been issued with a 12-match suspension by the FA.

I think he is a very lucky boy to be honest. would I be guessing that the clubs legals found that there wasnt sufficient grounds to sack him for this and past indiscretions, and this is why they have issued the sacking threat now, so he and everyone knows he is on a last chance?

Bottled it! could have stuck up against the toatally reviled scumbag of football. this bloke has no place on the professional stage. to me it puts QPR in a bad light. I know you wont agree but I dont have any beef with the fans, I cant stand this bloke and his cut and paste profound tweets suggesting that he is some kind of interlectual. get rid, nobody will miss him.

Most of us are with you, in that w can't stand hime either. The probem is that our lawyers ave looked at it and haven't been able to kick him out for gross misconduct, without havin topay up hs cntract in full. If they could this disussion wouldn'tbe taking place, so the "Bottled it" line is garbage.

I know it pains to pay him up as this seems an insult but there is so much money in football they could probably afford it. Okay Bottled it may have been a bit much but I didnt mean to offend any fans. I think Man city did the same with Tevez, somebody needs to make a stand against these overpaid, over egoed toerags....they are ruining football, this pillock even threatened to sue a ref for making a wrong call, just think for a minute if that would have happened, who would be refs? end of footy as we know , all because he beleives his own hype......sorry end of rant.
