QPR Confirm Midfielder Deal

QPR Confirm Midfielder Deal

Samba Diakité has been confirmed as a Queens Park Rangers player today (Wednesday).

Diakité made an excellent impact on the QPR side and supporters following a slow start to life in W12.

Sent off on his debut against Fulham for a succession of fouls, Samba bounced back in style to become a formidable figure in Rangers' run-in.

Injury curbed his contributions in the final part of the Premier League run-in, but nevertheless the interest was there from the club and player to extend his stay in England's capital.

His former club, AS Nancy, announced that he had signed for QPR over a fortnight ago for a fee they report at 4million euros.

Rangers have today confirmed the deal for an undisclosed fee, with Diakité signing a four year deal.

Samba scored what proved to be a crucial winner against Arsenal after placing home decisively against one the division's elite.
