VITAL QPR asks for the views of the fans, as we look back to last season and with great anticipation for the coming campaign - this time Ashdown_Ranger.
LAST SEASON
Favourite Goal & Why?: If I`d been there, it would have been Mackie`s winner against Liverpool. But for shere exhilaration on the night, Cisse`s winner against Stoke.
Favourite Game & Why?: For same reasons as above, Stoke at home. It was a horrible game to watch, felt sick through most of it, with Bolton winning. But watching Cisse warming up, jogging down the side I just had a feeling something was going to happen...
Player of the Season & Why?: Mackie, Hill or Ferdinand - largely unsung heros who just got on with it.
Signing of the Season & Why?: Cisse - pace, finishing, confidence, entertainment - and seems a class apart from the usual arrogant, millionaires who deign to play for smaller clubs. Mind you, I wasn`t saying that after his second sending off and ban...
View on Last Season: Have to say disappointed we struggled so badly - if we`d kept 11 players on th pitch we`d have easily picked up 10-12 more points minumum. But the joy of the last 6 match run-in and staying up on the last day made up for it. Barton and SWP surprised me - simply by how poor they`ve been for most of their time with us.
2012-13 SEASON
Signing of the Summer So Far & Why?: Park - just because it shows we can attract players of that history, experience and talent. He`s clearly a 'banker` in terms of his promotional/commercial value to the club too.
Your Captain & Why?: Ferdinand - just think he has leadership skills, language and position - and if fit would surely start every game. That said, I think Park will be made captain for PR and commercial reasons.
Hotly Anticipated Fixture?: The next one.
Starting XI - Opening Day: Green, Fabio, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Traore, Hoilett, Park, Faurlín, Diakité, Taarabt, Cissé.
Expectations?: Hope: 6th - 8th
Expectation 9th - 12th
