Redknapp Backed To Replace Hughes

Sky Bet anticipate that Harry Redknapp is waiting in the wings to replace under-pressure QPR boss Mark Hughes.

The online betting firm make Hughes the 5/4 favourite in their next Premier League manager to go odds following a disappointing start to the season.

Despite adding a string of stars to their squad over the summer, the Hoops have been left rooted to the foot of the table having failed to win any of their opening nine games.

With the pressure cranking up on Hughes, speculation has already begun as to who might replace him, prompting Sky Bet to make QPR the 1/4 favourites to be the next club managed by Harry Redknapp.

Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "The Hoops are heading into a crucial period with clashes with Reading, Stoke and Southampton coming up so a continuation of this winless run could prove the end for Hughes.

"Redknapp would surely be top of the shortlist given his impressive CV and keenness to get back into management, especially given the way he transformed the fortunes of Tottenham`s underperforming squad."
